Rate Limits

Adjust posting limits per platform. Lower = safer, higher = faster growth.

Platform Compliance

X / Twitter✓ Compliant
  • X's automation rules explicitly allow AI-generated reply bots that produce context-aware responses (help.x.com/en/rules-and-policies/x-automation).
  • Key requirement: every automated reply must be clearly distinguishable as automated OR require human approval before posting. Orbitly uses the approval gate — you review every reply before it goes live.
  • Prohibited: mass unsolicited DMs, coordinated inauthentic behavior, artificially inflating engagement metrics. Orbitly does none of these.
  • Rate limits in Settings keep you well under X's undisclosed thresholds. Keep replies ≤ 30/day and posts ≤ 10/day to stay safe.
Reddit✓ Compliant (with care)
  • Reddit's Responsible Builder Policy (2025) prohibits bots that spam automated comments or posts. Orbitly requires manual approval — you are the poster, not a bot.
  • Reddit's spam filter is aggressive. Keep replies genuinely helpful and on-topic. Never post the same reply twice. Orbitly's deduplication handles this.
  • Self-promotion rules vary per subreddit. Stick to tech/dev/startup subs where the content is relevant. Avoid r/all or large general subs.
  • Reddit's API now requires pre-approval for automated posting at scale. For personal use (your own account, low volume), no approval is needed.
Medium✓ Compliant
  • Medium has no published automation policy. Clapping and commenting are standard user actions — Orbitly performs them via Playwright as your logged-in session.
  • Medium does rate-limit claps per account per day. Orbitly's default limits (50 claps, 25 comments/day) are conservative and safe.
  • AI-generated comments are allowed as long as they are genuine and relevant. Orbitly uses Groq to generate specific, article-aware comments — not generic spam.
  • Risk: if Medium detects unusual clap velocity, they may temporarily limit your account. Keep clap counts ≤ 10 per article and max claps ≤ 30/day to be safe.

Bottom line: Since every reply and post requires your explicit approval before going live, Orbitly operates as a drafting assistant — not an autonomous bot. This is the key distinction that keeps you compliant on all three platforms.
